The establishments Sangulí Salou Resort and Cambrils Park Resort, located in the province of Tarragona, have received the Safe Fun – Aquatic Leisure Certification, which implies the official certification of the safety of their aquatic leisure facilities under applicable European regulations.

The Safe Fun seal, owned by the company The Fun Lab, guarantees that the establishments have safer and well-maintained facilities that comply with all the requirements set by regulations for design and accident prevention.

Thus, both users and tourism sector agents – including tour operators, destination managers, and travel agencies, among others – can have full confidence in the certified establishments, which helps improve their reputation as well as attract and retain their guests.

Aquatic leisure areas inspected in each establishment

The Sangulí Salou Resort complex, awarded the title of ‘Most Family-Friendly Campsite in Europe’ in 2023, features numerous aquatic leisure attractions for all ages, including five slides for adults of different heights and types, four lower-height and lower-intensity slides for children, as well as two children’s pools equipped with water playgrounds featuring various interactive games like buckets and cannons. Additionally, the complex enhances its aquatic areas with five pools (three for adults and two for children).

Meanwhile, the Cambrils Park Resort establishment offers three family-friendly adult slides and two children’s pools featuring its main attraction and children’s favorite, the ‘Caribbean Jungle Pool’ animal pool. This area is complemented by water playgrounds with interactive games used by children and adults up to a certain age. The complex completes its aquatic areas with four pools (two for children and two for adults).

In both cases, we conducted a thorough inspection process following applicable European regulations UNE-EN 1069 – parts 1 and 2 for water slides, and UNE-EN 17232 for water playgrounds and aquatic games in shallow or zero-depth areas.
