The FERGUS Club Palmanova Park and FERGUS Club Mallorca Waterpark resorts, part of the FERGUS Group hotel chain and located in Mallorca, have received the Safe Fun – Aquatic Leisure Certification. This certification officially confirms the safety of their aquatic leisure facilities in accordance with applicable European regulations.
The Safe Fun distinction provides the assurance that the establishments have safer attractions, properly maintained, and that meet all the requirements set by design regulations and accident prevention standards in areas with water slides and aquatic games.
In this way, both guests and stakeholders in the tourism sector—such as tour operators, destination managers, and travel agencies, among others—can have complete confidence in the certified establishments.
The FERGUS Club Mallorca Waterpark hotel is the first establishment where we have implemented our new audit and consulting service for the operational management of aquatic areas.
Beyond verifying compliance with the applicable European regulations for various aquatic attractions and leisure equipment, the safety of using aquatic facilities also depends on their proper management, good staff training, and having effective operational protocols in place, including lifeguarding, risk assessment, continuous facility inspections, and more.
For this reason, we have worked with the FERGUS Club Mallorca Waterpark hotel to carry out the first operational safety audit and consulting project aimed at protecting users, as well as helping the company update its operational manuals and provide its technical services and lifeguarding professionals with the necessary knowledge to ensure the safety of their guests in aquatic environments.
This project consists of several phases: an initial audit for the on-site observation and evaluation of the lifeguards; a thorough review of existing protocols and documentation related to aquatic operational safety; and finally, the implementation of the revised procedures through meetings with the company’s professionals.
